Ditch the Room. Book a Beach Villa in Los Cabos
Beach villa in Los Cabos? Consider this: Los Cabos is hot. That means a real estate market that is on fire and exploding demand for vacation villas, especially beachfront villas by the sea. An adviser with Engel & Volkers recently observed more than $213.7 million in accepted offers so far in 2021 in that firm alone – marking the second-highest year in its history.
And with high-end homes and uberluxe development properties bursting from the shelves, the action adds up to a hot time for vacation villas that are attracting a range of interest, from jet-setting elites to instagramming millennials seeking the best that Cabo can offer.
So, we’ve gathered a few inside tips and insights on what a vacation villa in Los Cabos, Mexico can offer and why it makes sense.
Location
In Los Cabos you have your choice for where you want to be situated and most of that time that means on or near or at least in view of a beach. The shores along the Sea of Cortez are seeing most of these new villas coming on line, although the East Cape is another up and coming area quickly filling with five-star resorts and prestigious amenities. However, if we are talking about location, the East Cape is quite a distance from the action, fun, shopping, dining and adventurous activities to be found along the 20-mile or so golden corridor between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Elegant Mexico’s villa selections in Villas del Mar and other locations near San Jose del Cabo ensure proximity to Los Cabos International Airport as well as easy access to all the sites and must-dos of the region.
Life’s a Beach in Cabo
Cabo San Lucas boasts an amalgam of pristine beaches and smart ecosystems, all brimming with colorful flora and culture. For the vacation seeker, there is nothing like a beachfront villa or a villa right on the beach where you can fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of surf and even have your morning coffee in the sand as you watch the sun ascend over the Sea of Cortez. Elegant Mexico has many of these perfect settings within its robust inventory of vacation villas. More than two dozen of these coveted beachfront villas are available for parties as small as four and as large as eight. These villas on the beach open up to soft sand beaches that are clean and protected and, best of all, they lack crowds. Your beach can be as private as your villa affording quiet and meditative beach walks or undisturbed family gatherings.
Private Chef Included
Did you know villa rentals in Los Cabo through Elegant Mexico come with private chefs? If that does not raise the bar and separate the experience between villa stays and hotel bookings, we are simply not sure what does! Villas through Elegant Mexico get the advantage of not having to worry about where to eat, what to eat, when to eat and with whom. It’s all done for you and at your leisure. Want pancakes with your eggs? Done. Don’t feel like breakfast? Fine, have a fruit mix and croissant by the pool after your morning swim. Inviting guests for lunch? Ask you chef to prepare a large ceviche platter and perhaps some nopales tamales steamed to perfection. Don’t forget the watermelon margaritas.
Villa guests can work with the onsite concierge to stock any must have foods and spirits. Forgot some things? No problem. Ask and they are on their way.
Did We Mention Private Butler?
If you are looking for a villa in Los Cabos, don’t forget to inquire about dedicated butler service. Because a villa is a home stay not a room booking, there is often much to be handled – especially with sizable groups and families. A dedicated butler is a second (even primary!) pair of hands and knowledge who can not only assist with ensuring all systems are go and all parties are comfortable, but can help plan for any unplanned occasion. Sudden company? Restless kids? Best swimming spots? Massage options? Ask Jeeves. At Elegant Mexico, a dedicated butler is automatic with every rental – part of the pleasures that separate private rental choices from nights at a hotel.
Don’t Sacrifice Basic Amenities
Often, vacation homes forego the maid service or value of an onsite concierge. Not villas booked with Elegant Mexico. Daily maid service ensures clean linens and towels, organized and comfortable spaces and often, the necessary clean-up after a festive evening of vacation enjoyment. Need a massage? At Elegant Mexico, ask the butler or the concierge and in a blink, a massage therapist will be coming to your villa to administer soothing treatments in your bedroom, on your balcony or by the pool. Like golf? Play a challenging 27-hole game at the One&Only Palmilla next door – your golf cart waits in your garage. Feel like dining out? Take that two-minute tootle to the resort next door where, with Elegant Mexico, you will have signing privileges for casual brunch to fancy dinners.
Naturally, villa amenities also come with the requisite in-villa comforts that you would expect to get with any vacation booking: air-conditioning, formidable Wi-Fi, stunning views of the ocean, concierge assistance and security gates.
Privacy at a Premium
Perhaps one big element that separates the villas from the rooms and suites is the concept of privacy. With a villa stay, the only non-staff people you will see are the people you want to see. That is why villa bookings are often the vacation options of choice for celebrities and notables. All can be arranged – from your private jet to Cabo San Lucas, to your private chauffeur from the FBO or private jet airport, to your door with vehicles and drivers at the ready throughout your stay.
Privacy means villa get-togethers that are large enough to fit all your guests with surroundings that are bound to impress. It means your own infinity pool overlooking the sea, plenty of corners to be alone or in conversation, large spots for larger gatherings, an outside kitchen, bar and seating under the stars or in palapa-style shade, and comely fire pits with comfy chairs perfect for sharing stories into the midnight hours.
Putting a Price on Villa Value
So, you ask, what price privacy and freedom? Consider the all the battles you won’t have to fight, the considerations you won’t have to make, the charges you won’t have to count, the planning you won’t have to do. That is the value of choosing a villa. Can you party in your suite at your hotel without worry for noise and making a scene? Can you enjoy an afternoon of fresh cocktails by the pool without summing up the $25 per glass costs in your head, plus the per service tips to the staff? Can you manage an impromptu visit by friends and relatives with a customized feast in your hotel suite? Can you disappear from the world when you do not want to have contact and reappear when you are ready and able without offending your friends?
Whether for the sumptuous sea views, the sounds of surf to lull you to sleep, and stunning desert beauty of all that surrounds you in Los Cabos, these things can be managed by choosing the right hotel or resort and managing to wrangle the right room and location. But choose a vacation villa instead and your choices are assured, creating an exponential multiplier on enjoyment with stress-free built-ins that come with each property. No need to think. With a Los Cabos villa through Elegant Mexico it is all done for you, and before you know you want it.

Why Los Cabos is the Ultimate Luxury Hotspot in 2019
Los Cabos has long been an iconic tropical destination for the rich and famous. From Christian Bale to Jennifer Aniston, the resort destination has seen a steady stream of celebrities, politicians, and CEOs flock to Mexico’s Pacific coast. While other places in Mexico have started to generate interest (particularly around Tulum and Playa del Carmen), Los Cabos remains the leading luxury hotspot. Today, we’re going to break down why it remains top travel destination and continues to serve as a hot spot for the world’s elite.
Location, Location, Location
Imagine boarding a private jet, and two hours later find yourself in a tropical oasis? It sounds like a dream but it could be your reality, as Los Cabos is only a two and a half-hour flight from Los Angeles. Due to its proximity to LA, it’s often regarded as a premium destination for Hollywood A-listers. Just last year, the seaside resort welcomed the likes of Cindy Crawford, George Clooney, Justin Bieber, and Leonardo DiCapri just to name a few. Since wealthy and famous individuals are always vacationing in Los Cabos, it’s created a luxury travel market. Companies like Elegant Mexico can start planning your vacation from the moment you book a villa. We can take care of all the tiny details, from food in the fridge to transportation from the airport. If you’re interested in specific excursions like whale watching or snorkeling, we can work in tandem with local tour companies to create the ultimate adventure-packed holiday.
Sublime Seclusion
One of the main perks of visiting Los Cabos is that it serves as a great hideaway from the world’s prying eyes. All of our villas in the area are situated in gated communities, so there’s never a concern about having to avoid pesky photographers or unwanted visitors. The community is called Del Mar at Palmilla, and it’s world-renowned for its security, privacy, and stunning scenery. We also value the safety of guests as a top priority. Most of our villas are equipped with the latest security systems. For some of our elite guests, we can also arrange a private security detail to ensure high-level safety.
Luxurious Amenities
In reality, nobody wants to cook or clean while on vacation, especially in Los Cabos. Luckily, all of our villas at Del Mar come with both a chef and a butler. This means our guests don’t have to lift a finger while they’re on holiday! If you’ve got a specific dish in mind that you’d like to enjoy while at the villa, simply tell the chef the day before and get ready to feast on a delicious meal. In terms of other amenities, most villas include sprawling outdoor spaces that feature luscious greenery and tropical gardens. Casa Fryzer villa, for example, boasts a contoured infinity pool, a swim-up bar, and a hot tub! There’s also an expansive terrace, a brilliant alfresco dining area, a fire pit, plus a state-of-the-art barbeque and pizza oven. Let’s not forget the gorgeous views of the azure blue Pacific Ocean from the veranda, which look particularly breathtaking during sunrise and sunset.
Pristine Beaches
One of the main draws of a tropical holiday is the sandy white beach, and a handful of Elegant Mexico’s villas are beachfront. If we take a look at the Villa 322, the outdoor space cascades down to a semi-private beach, which provides great views for whale watching as the humpbacks make their way to the Sea of Cortez. It’s also a great swimming spot, as the water temperature hovers around 72 degrees Fahrenheit.
Without a doubt, Los Cabos remains a luxury hotspot for the rich and famous. If you’re thinking about booking your next vacation to the region, explore Elegant Mexico’s villas for the ultimate getaway.

Which Celebrities are obsessed with Los Cabos? The Skinny
Los Cabos has long been the number one tropical destination for the rich and famous! Every year, paparazzi photos reveal countless celebs hitting up the beach and relaxing in style. Today, we’re going to explore which Hollywood A-listers love Cabo San Lucas and why!
George Clooney
George Clooney is undoubtedly one of Hollywood’s leading actors, appearing in over 45 films and numerous television shows. But did you know he’s absolutely in love with the Los Cabos region? He’s been vacationing in Los Cabos for the last 30 years, and he even built a mansion there overlooking the Pacific Ocean!
His gorgeous home was featured in a 2016 article by Architectural Digest, and his neighbors are supermodel Cindy Crawford her husband and Rande Gerber. So why is George Clooney obsessed with Los Cabos? Though it’s only a quick two and a half hour flight from Los Angeles, it’s a place even A-listers can relax in luxury without the prying eyes of photographers.
Selena Gomez
As one of the most followed celebs on Instagram, the spotlight always follows Selena Gomez! So you can’t blame her for wanting to get a little rest and relaxation in Los Cabos. Just last month she was spotted in the tropical town celebrating her best friend’s bachelorette party. While we’re not entirely sure if she stayed in a hotel or luxury villa, the superstar was seen relaxing and horseback riding on the white sandy beach. Paparazzi footage also captured her sunbathing and eating traditional Mexican guacamole and salsa with girlfriends. We can confidently say that Cabo serves as the perfect backdrop for a luxury vacay with your closest friends, too.
Gwyneth Paltrow
For the past 25 years, Gwyneth Paltrow has been lighting up the big screen. During her downtime, she’s been jetting to Los Cabos for vacation. Recently, she held a bachelorette party on the East Cape and invited famous friends, including actress Cameron Diaz and fashion designer Stella McCartney.
According to Vogue, Paltrow spent her time relaxing on the beach and even visited the “Green Lagoon,” a picturesque location just outside of Los Cabos. Don’t believe us? Check out the photos she posted on her Instagram.
Jennifer Aniston
Amongst the locals, actress Jennifer Aniston is referred to as the Queen of Cabo! She visits the resort town multiple times per year and often brings her celebrity entourage with her. Last month, she was spotted at the Los Cabos airport getting off a private jet with her Friends co-star Courtney Cox and an entourage of other women.
But this isn’t the first time Jen has planned a girls trip to Los Cabos. A few years back, Aniston held an epic New Year’s Eve party that featured the likes of John Krasinski, Emily Blunt, Howard Stern, Jimmy Kimmel, Justin Theroux, and Jason Bateman. She even did a photo shoot in Cabo with her precious pooch a few years back.
Tyga
Lastly, we have to mention rapper Tyga! Last month, he stayed at one of Elegant Mexico’s villas called Casa Fryzer. This gorgeous mansion overlooks the sea and is equipped with a contoured infinity pool with a swim-up bar, creating the perfect setting for a relaxing destination.
The Casa Fryzer typically rents for nearly $10,000 per night, and is equipped with both a private butler and chef. There are also six bedrooms and 10 bathrooms, so you can rest assured that Tyga’s entire entourage had more than enough space to kick back and relax in style.
Next time you’re planning a vacation to Los Cabos, skip the hotel. Opt to stay at one of Elegant Mexico’s luxury villas where the uber-rich and famous take refuge. We invite you to check out our list of properties in both Baja California and Punta Mita on our website.

Why Visit Los Cabos Instead of Cozumel this Summer
For luxury vacations overlooking crystal clear waters and stunning skies in Mexico, there are often two standout locations: Los Cabos and Cozumel. The decision can be tough, considering both locations are truly breathtaking, but we think Los Cabos is the better way to go. Of course, this depends on what you’re looking for. For adventure, hiking, ruins, and snorkeling, Cozumel might be your spot. But if you’re looking to indulge in luxury, relax and take in gorgeous sights with top-tier food and drink, we suggest Los Cabos trip.
Beat the Crowds
For one, Los Cabos feels much bigger, with more nooks and crannies to explore. While both locations attract a number of tourists, Cozumel is a stop for many large cruise ships, which flood the streets regularly with crowds that never seem to end, turning an afternoon stroll into a busy center, making it difficult to take in the gorgeous surroundings.
Marine Life
The cruise ship activity in Cozumel has also had a profound effect on the area’s waters. Once a prime snorkeling location, the area’s aquatic life has seen a decline, with once regular visitors saying it is no longer what it used to be. Los Cabos still has an abundance of marine life from turtles to dolphins and whales. Divers are in paradise on Socorro island, which is rich with giant manta rays, whales and a number of sharks.
Shelter from the Storm
Being situated on the west coast, Los Cabos is more sheltered from storms, specifically hurricanes. The east coast, however, is much more prone to these disasters, especially between June and October, popular vacation times for both destinations. If you’re looking to stay safe from the weather, we recommend staying on the Pacific Coast.
Beach Hideaway
As far as beaches are concerned, Los Cabos beaches offer more exclusivity. Each beach in the area provides its own unique view and experience, often surrounded by breathtaking rock formations and sunset views. With world-renowned beaches like Lover’s Beach and Medano Beach, home to the famous Arch, you know you can expect only the best experience and views. Beaches in Los Cabos often have fewer vendors and loud sounds, whereas Cozumel beaches are lined with bars and cafes, which is can be fun if it’s your thing.
Adventure Time
The range of activities is much greater in Los Cabos, which has the advantage of a variety of landscapes. Mountains, parks, and canyons are abundant which allows for adventure for everyone’s tastes. From ATV trails, horseback rides, hiking as well as beaches, Los Cabos has it all, including the largest marlin fishing tournament in the world and seasonal whale watching.
Dine in Style
Dining and nightlife is also significantly different on each end of the country. While both offer authenticity, Los Cabos has its own upscale flare to Mexican foods and drink like immersive farms with restaurants, classes, and spas, including Flora Farms Kitchen and Las Tamarindos. Most restaurants open early and close late, whereas the restaurants in Cozumel tend to only open around 2 pm and close at midnight. Los Cabos is largely recognized for luxurious accommodations, including opulent private villas just steps away from the azure blue waters of the Sea of Cortez. Looking to indulge? Look no further than Elegant Mexico for the perfect villa to take your Los Cabos vacation to the next level.

Punta Mitas Hidden Beach and Other Secrets
The beaches in Mexico are the most beautiful in the world. That’s no secret, especially amongst some of Hollywood’s elite. If you take a peek at the social media feeds of a-listers like George Clooney and Selena Gomez, you’ll see snaps of them lounging on the glorious shores Los Cabos and Punta Mita. You might also notice that these beaches are calm and entirely free of on-lookers.If you want to experience the intimacy and romance of a secluded beach like the stars do, you’ll have to find one of these hidden beaches. Don’t worry though, — we’ve got a list of them here for you so you can avoid a sea of beach umbrellas and truly enjoy Mexico’s Pacific Ocean.
Marietas Islands, Hidden Beach, Tour, Snorkeling & Sightseeing
Hidden Beach on the Marietas Islands is the main feature of our list, easily accessible from the coast of Punta Mita. Just a short boat ride away, the islands are known as Islas Marietas National Park. This important nature reserve and the Hidden Beach have an intriguing history. Let’s dive in!
Because these islands have never been inhabited by humans, the Mexican government began using them for military tests in the early 1900’s. However, after Jaques Cousteau, the father of modern marine conservation, noticed the rare flora and fauna on this island a campaign was started to end the destructive testing. The intensely beautiful ecosystem was declared as a wildlife reserve.
The Islands themselves are a marvel of nature and you should be sure to visit here for some snorkeling. The coral reefs that live on the volcanic rock formations underwater host a wealth of marine life, and you can spot sea turtles, eels and dolphins in the nearby waters almost year round. If you’re visiting from December to March, you’ll see humpback whales!
But the true gem of these islands is known as the Hidden Beach. Also known as the Playa Del Amor or Lover’s Beach, this sandy shoreline hides from outside view. It is said to have been formed by an explosion, but no one can know for sure.
Either way, this magnificent beach is one of the most unusual beauties in the world and it’s only accessible by a small watery tunnel leading from the ocean. No boats are allowed, so you’ll have to swim through. But don’t worry, this special swim has a few feet of air above your head and it’s all part of the adventure! Once you’ve crossed under, you’ll find yourself in paradise. The sands are soft and the waters are crystal clear.
How do you get to the Hidden Beach?
The only way to get to the Hidden Beach is by a chartered, licensed boat ride. If you’re staying in Punta Mita, you’ll be at the best point to set sail for the Hidden Beach. The islands are also accessible from Puerto Vallarta, but the boat trip is much longer.
People usually taxi up to Punta Mita to catch a boat. This scenic ride is about 30 minutes and you’ll probably get to see mantas and dolphins on the way. Once you’ve arrived your tour guides will get your ready for an amazing dip in the water.
Because the Hidden Beach has become such a desirable place to visit for many travellers, the Mexican government has been restricting access since 2016. This measure was taken to preserve the flora and fauna of the island and to prevent erosion of the coral reefs below. What this means for people wanting to visit is that you must book in advance and with a reputable company to ensure your trip to the Hidden Beach is possible.
Each day, only 116 people are allowed to visit the beach and only tour boats with permits can visit the waters surrounding the Islands. Smaller boats can get much closer than big ones, so you’ll want a private or small group boat. When you’re choosing a tour company, it’s important to know that not all tours go to the Hidden Beach. Many charters offer two seperate tours, trips for the Marietas Islands exclusively and trips that also go to the Hidden Beach. Always double-check and be sure to book with a reputable charter.
We recommend booking with Mike’s Charters and Tours or Vallarta Adventures for private eco excursions, hidden beach visits, snorkeling and some onboard pampering.
Even more secluded beaches in Mexico
The Hidden Beach isn’t the only secret beach in the area. In fact, these next beaches may be even more secluded since tours and charters don’t typically have them on their itinerary. All these beaches are less than an hour drive from some great vacation hubs, and they’re perfect for a quiet day in the sun. We’ve listed our favourites to get you started:
Punta Mita
Playas Patzcuaro and Patzcuarito
The first stop on our virtual tour is the Patzcuaro and Patzcuarito beaches. These beaches are very close to each other, and offer almost total isolation.
You can access Patzcuaro by car and then a short walk. From there, you can easily get to Patzcuarito on foot by following a short creek. You’ll be on the edge of the jungle when you visit these beaches, and chances are you won’t see many other people at all.
It’s a lovely place to find seashells and sunbathe, though the swimming can be a bit challenging. Bring a boogie board with you if you plan to do more than wade in the water.<
How to get there: A 20 minute ride from your Punta Mita villa, North East on the Carr. Federal la Cruz de Huanacaxtle.
Playa Carricitos This is one secret beach that makes you work for it.
To get here, you’ll need to embark on a 40 minute hike through the jungle. This is not a difficult trek and you’ll see the glory of the Mexican sun shining through the jungle trees onto the brightly lit path on the way. Once there, you just might be in complete isolation.
Many people are deterred by the idea of a walk to the beach, but we assure you, the reward is worth it. The swimming here is not for beginners, so kids would be safer wading just off the shore. For body surfers, however, this is your perfect playground!
How to get there:A 34 minute ride from Punta Mita, take the highway to Sayulita then drive up Av Revolucion. Park your car and begin your walk through paradise.
Playa de Los Muertos
Playa de Los Muertos gets its unique name from a nearby cemetery, but these golden shores are anything but spooky.
The beach is more popular with local Mexican families, so while you might not be in total isolation, you won’t see many tourists. There are nice big rocks that protect this area from waves, so the water is serene.
Even on busy days, some stretches of this beach are practically empty, making this a great place to snap exclusive pictures and relax in uninterrupted bliss. It’s very close to Playa Carricitos, so you could hit up two secluded beaches in one day.
How to get there: A 34 minute ride from Elegant Mexico’s Punta Mita villas, take the highway to Sayulita then drive up Av Revolucion.
Los Cabos
Bahia Santa Maria
This beach is a hidden oasis. It’s protected as a nature sanctuary because of the many different kinds of marine life that live in the calm waters.
This makes it an ideal location for snorkeling. It’s also perfect for swimming and sunbathing. It’s not going to be empty, but Since Bahia Santa Maria is one of the less visited beaches in the Cabo area, you may only see a handful of other beachgoers spread out across the length of the shore.
How to get there: Drive for 15 minutes along the Transpeninsular Highway from your Elegant Mexico Los Cabos villa.
Playa Las ViudasLas Viudas has a nice scenic landscape that will definitely make you want to spend the day there. There are volcanic rock formations that make coves and secluded corners so even if there are a few people there, you won’t notice them. This beach is a great place for a sunny picnic or a swim, and you’ll get some photos against the unique backdrop.
How to get there: From your Elegant Mexico Los Cabos villa, drive for 15 minutes along the Transpeninsular Highway.
Tulum
Las Palmas Public Beach
Despite the name, Las Palmas Public Beach is actually one of the more secluded beaches in the area. This long stretch of white sand and gentle rolling waves is a great place to soak up the sun or go for a dip.
Be sure to bring a picnic with you, because there are no vendors or restaurants in the immediate area. But that means you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for — an escape from the crowds.
How to get there: Head down Av. Coba and then drive up the shore.
Secret Beach
This beach, aptly named, is located within the Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve. This UNESCO World Heritage site is one of Mexico’s treasures and is home to a precious variety of flora and fauna.
There are many amazing beaches and sights to see, but the Secret Beach is your go-to if you’re looking to have the sun all to yourself. This gorgeous shore is completely untouched by development and tourism, and the waters are calm and crystal clear.
Be sure to bring your snacks and drinks with you and brush up on your Spanish. There are no vendors here and if you happen to meet anyone here, they’ll be a local.
How to get there: Take the Av. Coba/QROO 15 down to the Sian Ka’an Biosphere and continue along the water for 35 minutes.
El Ultimo Maya
This nameless beach is referred to by the small restaurant which sits on it, the El Ultimo Maya Restaurant.
To access this beach, you can simply enjoy some fresh ceviche and ribs at the quaint cantina before heading off to wade in the water. While this beach isn’t exactly secret, it’s very quiet and there are usually less than a handful of visitors at any given time. El Ultimo Maya is a great spot to get the secret beach feel with a few amenities like beach chairs and cerveza at your disposal.
How to get there: Take the Av. Coba/QROO 15 down to the Sian Ka’an Biosphere and continue along the water for 30 minutes.
