It’s no secret spring is the perfect season to visit Los Cabos. The dry desert heat mixes with the cool sea breeze and creates a comfortable daytime temperature. There are also several events taking place in Los Cabos during this period, so we’re going to break down the best ones to mark on your calendar for your Los Cabos spring break!

Los Cabos Wine and Cheese Festival

Let’s be honest; Mexico is often overlooked compared to other major wine-producing nations like France, Italy, Argentina, and Chile. But did you know Mexico produces some of the world’s most unique selections of reds and whites? If you’re in the area on March 16th, buy a ticket to the Los Cabos Wine and Cheese Festival. It’s a great way to sample different wine selections and talk with local producers. You can even get your hands on private importations that pair well with different types of cheeses. The proceeds from the event go to the Los Cabos Children’s Foundation. This organization supports children suffering from cancer and other life-threatening illnesses in the Cabo area. he event takes place at the Sheraton Grand Los Cabos Hotel and tickets can be found on their site

Gala de Danza

If you’ve dreamt of watching some of the world’s best dancers perform on stage, then you’ll need to attend the Gala de Danza. This event attracts top performers from Europe, North America, and the Latin world, as they come together to put on a show-stopping spectacle to enrich the local community. Christina Lyon serves as both the founder and the director of the Gala de Danza. She’s had an impressive career as a ballerina working with the American Ballet Theatre, the English National Ballet, and the Bavarian National Ballet. She’s been organizing this event for the past seven years, and it has been a great networking opportunity for up-and-coming artists and offers full scholarships to deserving individuals. The event takes place on April 4th at the Viceroy Los Cabos and general admission tickets go for around $100.

Los Cabos Water Challenge

During the spring, the waters around Los Cabos reach a temperature of 77 degrees Fahrenheit, which creates the ideal conditions for snorkeling, scuba diving, swimming, and surfing! If you’re interested in testing your endurance, sign up for the Los Cabos Water Challenge in late April. Not only is it a great physical workout, but it’s a fun way to explore the waters surrounding Cabo San Lucas and San José del Cabo. Past participants have seen sea turtles, whales and dolphins in the surrounding waters while completing the challenge.

The Big Cabo Fest

For those looking to let loose and party until the early hours of the morning, visit the area during the Big Cabo Fest. This weekend-long event takes place from June 9th until the 13th, and attracts musicians from around the globe. This year, the lineup includes a handful of famous country singers like Roger Creager, Kevin Fowler, and Trent Willmon. Guests of the music festival can also buy excursions at the same time, so they can fish or golf during their stay in Los Cabos. Space is limited, so if you’re interested in purchasing a ticket, it’s wise to act now before it’s too late!
